How Far Away does a NUT fall from the Tree ?

Well, in the case of THIS ACORN (one in particular)....it falls waayyyy too far away!

ACORN = Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now
or....
the Organization for Manipulating the plight of Low-Income Families to Accumulate more Government Control to Redistribute wealth evenly regardless of how much or little you work. (aka....SOCIALISM).

ACORN can best be compared to a "cancer" that has spread from its beginning days with the Rathke family in their Elysian Fields headquarters in New Orleans to organizations in over 38 states and many countries abroad.
Despite the numerous reports and ongoing investigations of fraud, abuse, mis-representation and corruption; ACORN, along with its funding, has continued to infiltrate into such organizations as shown by the list below. Many of the characters involved with the ACORN abuses, frauds, etc. continue to "mutate" and find other areas to infect.

Unfortunately, due to the liberal-dominated media and the liberal- dominated administration, any true exposure of these reports and investigations will continue to remain non-existent or "lost". Therefore, it seems that the overwhelming majority of our apathetic populace will allow this organization to continue its practices unabated.

Are You TOO Ignorant to VOTE???

Doing research for one of my book projects has brought some important points out which I think we need to think about!

First is about our "Right to Vote"!
There is none!!
Take a close look at our Constitution! When you vote, its a "privilege" offered to you by the states!! Even when you vote in a national election, its allowed only by the states; ...and you vote only for a "slate of electors" ....you never vote for the candidate!

Additionally, I have been convinced that not everyone should have that privilege anyway!!
Yup, I've really gone off the deep end, huh!
I believe that the founders of the Constitution, in fact, had so designed it that way.

Think of it....most of our problems stem from an uninformed, apathetic electorate. An overwhelming majority of our "eligible voters" do not understand the workings of our government, probably don't know who their Senator or Representative is, either.......but probably do know who won American Idol... or who was on the Oprah Winfrey Show that afternoon!

I feel that somehow we must limit this "privilege to vote". I'm not sure exactly how to do it, but we need to find a way!!!
Maybe a test or something?

I do not feel that a "one-person...one-vote" system was intended nor should it be followed. Simple residency does not unfortunately equal responsibility!!

A GREAT quote explains alot:
"It is difficult to conceive of a more worrisome relationship than that between ignorant voters and highly knowledgeable, well-organized political activists"!
......Ilya Somin, "How Political Ignorance Threatens Democracy", USA Today Magazine, Nov 1, 2004

Hmmmm.... Could it be we already have a dis-illusioned, un-informed electorate being railroaded by a well-organized political activist (formerly) from Illinois???

History in the Making...Watch the Iranian Protest on YouTube ....

What should the U.S. response be???
Will we appear to be "interfering"???...or should we show our outrage over the unjust responses of the present Iranian government??

Want a Bermuda vacation??

Life in paradise as Guantanamo Four take a dip, eat ice cream, and plan first Uighur restaurant in British territory of Bermuda
By Sarah Titterton and Mail Foreign Service

Or perhaps you'd prefer a South Pacific Island??

Wonder where the rest will go?? Maybe they will be your new neighbors?

I honestly still can't figure out what was wrong with Gitmo!!
Issues over their detention, processing, etc. really have nothing to do with "where" they are held!
But, a "politcally-correct" mis-representation of this whole issue has caused Obama to stick to his "knee-jerk" committment to close this facility before fully thinking through the whole scenario!

As with all his other "half-baked" plans, they sound good but are "fantasies" in reality and we get stuck with the disastrous results.

Here's something YOU CAN DO about it !!.....

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired..

(Be sure to see the ads below from our sponsors !!)

Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your e-mail list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by the world. (It's worth a try!) One Nation Under God.

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!'

With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God.'

Take Your Car Dealership and ........

CHRYSLER ELIMINATING 789 of 3,200 DEALERSHIPS

Salesman Michael Friel surfs the web for news on the fate of his employer, John Flynn Chrysler Jeep in Philadelphia, Thursday, May 14, 2009. The dealership's name was on a list released Thursday as one of 789 dealers Chrysler LLC wants to eliminate as part of a restructuring process. (AP Photo/Matt Rourke)

Folks, this is just not making any sense.

Chrysler is now being permitted to go ahead with eliminating over 789 of their dealerships! GM will apparently be following suit shortly!?
Now, if this was a cost-saving move I could certainly understand.

BUT....Dealerships cost the manufacturers NOTHING!... The dealerships are billed for, and pay all their expenses themselves.
They get billed for advertising, warranty expenses......everything, right down to the paperclips! So the excuse that this is an expense cutting tactic is absolutely wrong.

Furthermore, if you try to use the logic that they are cutting the poor performers, or the ones that are too closely grouped together, or even the ones that don't perform adequate service obligations are ALL MISTAKEN. Many of the ones being cut are some of the company's best performers, in high traffic areas, with long-standing clientele and customer satisfaction records!!
Even the ones with lower sales records (when compared to imports, etc.) have only the fact that Chyrsler, itself has not been providing competitive vehicles at competitive prices with sub-standard warranties. Yes, the dealership network may need to be re-worked but there is no need to wipe out the existing field!!

But, they say they are going to try and be more competitive without 1/4th their previous sales force!! Talk about making sense???????

So what's going on??

POLITICS, my friends, POLITICS!! It all boils down to campaign contributions, who scratched who's back, and so forth!!
The dealerships that remain are selected alright.... by political persuasions. Yup, isn't that the good ole American way!?

So, now, with over 106,000 jobs being eliminated...and more coming soon with GM's dealership cuts......

Here's what you'll see alot of shortly:

Now Here's a Plan!!!

Tennessee's senior senator introduced a bill Thursday that would give shares of the stock of the two automakers to each of the approximately 120 million Americans who paid income taxes on April 15.

By G. Chambers Williams III • THE TENNESSEAN • June 5, 2009

U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander believes he has the best plan to get the federal government out of the car business: distribute the government's shares of stock in the reorganized General Motors and Chrysler to the American taxpayers.

The distribution would take place within a year after each company emerges from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, effectively transferring the U.S. Treasury's expected 60 percent stake in the new GM and 8 percent share in the new Chrysler to the American taxpayers in return for the $60 billion or so that the Treasury is lending the two companies as they reorganize.

"This is the fastest way to get the stock out of the hands of Washington and back into the hands of the American people in the marketplace, where it belongs," the Republican lawmaker said.

The individuals who receive the stock certificates would be free to hold onto them, pass them on to other family members, or sell them.

"Those shares might not be worth much at first," Alexander said. "But put them away and one day they might contribute something toward a college education."

With government ownership, the senator said, there is always the possibility that officials in Washington could be making management decisions for GM and Chrysler, such as "what the next model should look like" or "which plant should be closed."

Automotive marketing analyst George Peterson, president of the consulting firm AutoPacific, said he "loves the idea" of distributing the government's shares of the two companies to the taxpayers, but isn't sure Congress would go along with the idea.

"That's wild, and I can't wait for my shares," he said. "I think it's an interesting idea. Maybe they could give everyone 100 shares. The value might start out at a penny a share, but some people out there would start buying it up, and that would establish a market for it."

The idea might resonate with taxpayers as well, Peterson said, citing an AutoPacific survey concluded Thursday in which 81 percent of those polled "agreed that the faster the government gets out of the automotive business, the better."

He said 95 percent of those participating in the survey disagreed "that the government is a good overseer of corporations such as General Motors and Chrysler," and 93 percent disagreed "that having the government in charge of (the two automakers) will result in cars and trucks that Americans will want to buy."

"Clearly, they're not pumped up about having the government in charge," Peterson said.

Alexander's proposal, called the Auto Stock for Every Taxpayer Act, was filed as an amendment to the FDA tobacco regulation bill.

Any bets if this will fly??

Ready or Not...Here it Comes !
