The REAL Story behind the GATES Issue !

It is becoming more and more obvious every day that Mr. Gates seems to be just an elitist Harvard professor who still has a racial "chip on his shoulder"!.. Almost the same attitude that Obama's former pastor (Rev Wright) has

Is there a coincidence that Obama is friends with both of these individuals??
I don't think so!! It's a matter of similar philosophy!

Is there really any surprise to hear this President speak at a televised News Conference to the nation.. ......and admit that he "didn't know all the facts" BUT the Mass. police "acted stupidly"!

WOW, how STUPID was that!?

Well, I believe that he got caught "running his mouth"......The President just had to interject his "words of wisdom" on the issue of "racial profiling"!! Is that really why the police "hassled" Mr. Gates for "breaking into his own house"? Why, it certainly wasn't because he was disrespectful, and inconsiderate, or rude, or loud and generally uncooperative !!.....no not an elite Harvard professor!

AND his polls are continuing to drop....

I think people are starting to see the arrogance and truly biased attitude of this man......and when he ties this to some real "scary" legislation such as what he has been trying to ram down our throats!! Well, the results would be horrific!!...and people are starting to realize he may not be the CHANGE they wanted !!

Maybe....just maybe.....We'll WAKE UP IN TIME!!

A look at our School System...Why we lag behind !!

As summarized by David Boaz (Cato Institute) and R. Morris Barrett (NYC writer):

American schools are failing because they are organized according to a bureaucratic, monopolistic model. A school voucher of $3,000 per student per year would give more families the option of sending their children to non-government schools. However, many people believe that such a small amount could not possibly cover tuition at a private school; they may be thinking of such costly schools as Dalton, Andover, and Exeter and concluding that all private schools cost in excess of $10,000 a year.

In fact, Education Department figures show that the average private elementary school tuition in America is less than $2,500. The average tuition for all private schools, elementary and secondary, is $3,116, or less than half of the cost per pupil in the average public school, $6,857. A survey of private schools in Indianapolis, Jersey City, San Francisco, and Atlanta shows that there are many options available to families with $3,000 to spend on a child's education. Even more options would no doubt appear if all parents were armed with $3,000 vouchers.

Here's a good summary quote from Roland S. Martin....author of "Listening to the Spirit Within: 50 Perspectives on Faith"

"Obama and his party have never been fans of vouchers. Why? They contend that vouchers would hurt the public school system. Vouchers allow parents who can't afford private school to remove their children from public schools in order to get a better education. Well, isn't that what the president and those in his party do themselves by sending their children to private school? Only they don't need the government's help.

The standard fallback position of Democrats and the Obama administration is that the Washington program only helps 1,700 children a year, and those who don't qualify are stuck in a sorry system, and they are largely poor and minority. They contend that since every student can't be helped by vouchers, none should be helped.

So parents and children are supposed to sit tight and wait on the promised reform to trickle down from Washington to the local school systems, and then all will be well?

To me, that's sort of like saying that historically African-Americans are likely to have high rates of diabetes and hypertension, so instead of launching a program to save some from developing the disease, let's wait for a comprehensive plan where all can be saved at one time.

Sorry, folks. I believe you save as many as you can now, and continue to save the rest later. This shouldn't be an either/or proposition, but an and/both situation.

The other fundamental problem here is that we have a bunch of politicians (and teacher unions) deciding what's best for education over the objections of actual educators!"

If that means poorly run schools fail....THEN SO BE IT !!
The good ones will flourish!! and so will our children!

AGAIN.....Government meddling in places they shouldn't.

As Ann Coulter so aptly expressed when speaking about Government Health Care:
"....that the government decided health care was too important to be left to the free market. Yes -- the same free market that has produced such a cornucopia of inexpensive goods and services that, today, even poor people have cell phones and flat-screen TVs.

As a result, it's easier to get your computer fixed than your health. Thanks, government!

Bad news for the Democrats ... the Congressional Budget Office says that "the health care overhauls released to date would increase, not reduce, the burgeoning long-term health costs facing the government."
Investor's Business Daily explains how the Democrat healthcare plan will lead to economically ruinous tax hikes.
The Democrat healthcare plan would also make individual private medical insurance illegal.
And Guess what?? The Government will get to decide according to a cost-effective panel, who will get treatment or not!!Not kidding, folks. Yup, they will decide who lives or dies!!

This is the logic of our Vice President Joe Biden:
the federal government has to spend more money in order to keep from going bankrupt.
That's a new one.

Your tax dollars at work .. $700,000 for the Social Security Administration to attend a conference at an Arizona spa, which included airfare, hotel entertainment, dancers, motivational speakers, and food.

Here's another example of your tax dollars at work ... the federal government is looking to hire a cartoonist for a "humor in the workplace" program.

There is so much wrong with this statement: Nancy Pelosi says that Democrats could use a proposed new tax on the wealthy to pay down the deficit, if there's money left over after funding healthcare reform. !!! The arrogance of this woman!!!

Iran's Ahmadinejad vows that his new government "would bring down the global arrogance" of the West. Did you expect anything else??

The Energy Department has plans to boost the number of vehicles that can run on a blend of mostly biofuel. Some lawmakers are now realizing that it would be a bad idea for the government to mandate this change. Gee, ya think? Face it....The Government is crappy at running anything....Post Office, Social Security, Welfare, etc.
Quite simply....private enterprise & competition will yield better products at better prices!!!

If you can understand what he is saying, you may enjoy Barney Frank's latest appearance on the Daily Show. This guy is full of horsesqueeze.

Our Economic Mess is SOLVED !!

We found a way out from under the ridiculous U.S. Tax system!!

The following are excerpts from a letter sent in by Britta Schletter to Mansfield.com outlines the plan very well!!

Dear Mansfield Today Editor,

The FairTax is a proposal that would shift the tax base from our current system - one based on income - to a consumption-based, federal, retail-level sales tax on all new goods and services.

The FairTax eliminates a multitude of payroll and extravagant taxes and replaces it with a 23% consumption tax.

Also, the FairTax includes a monthly prebate - or a check from the government for the amount of money the individual or household spent in taxes on necessity items, according to the federally-determined poverty level. This prebate makes the FairTax progressive.

The FairTax Bill introduced as H.R. 25 to the House of Representatives and S.1025 in the Senate,.... now has 78 currently listed supporters (See: FairTax Scorecard). The Congressional support has been gaining momentum; all it needs is more grassroots publicity.

The FairTax eliminates, completely:

individual income taxes,
the alternative minimum tax (AMT),
all corporate and business income taxes,
the capital gains taxes,
social security,
Medicare,
and all other federal payroll taxes,
the self-employment tax,
the estate tax,
and gift tax.
These taxes are replaced with a 23% consumption tax.
.........

Also, the failure of our government-run social security and Medicare program is rapidly approaching,... with social security projected to be depleted by 2040, and Medicare by 2018 (Sahadi). Huge numbers of the U.S. population are dependant on these programs - they need to be fixed, and quickly.

Help for businesses

Our current tax code has also stifled businesses, and discouraged successful business practices.

According to the current director of the Congressional Budget Office, “making ‘tax decisions’ rather than ‘economic decisions’ (that is, making decisions that will reduce your taxes rather than increase your income) is a practice that costs our economy 18% of our gross domestic product- a whopping $2 trillion loss in the GDP,” (Boortz…The FairTax Book, 49).

In an economic environment where businesses could make economic decisions rather than tax decisions in America, huge GDP growth would be seen.

The taxes forced upon businesses are passed along in the way of higher prices to consumers. These are known as “embedded taxes”.

As estimated by Dr. Dale Jorgenson, the former Chairman of the Harvard Economics Department, on average, consumers are already paying 22% embedded taxes in a wide range of industries at the cash register (Jorgenson). This means, basically, that prices after the FairTax would only rise slightly. And keep in mind, consumers [would] now have their entire paycheck, a major increase in household revenue.

Simplified taxes

Compliance costs associated with the current tax code are often not well publicized. “In 2005 the estimated time the average American spent on the process (filing individual income taxes) was up to 27 hours… This December report (from the Tax Foundation) calculates that 6 billion hours and $265 billion were spent to comply with the federal income tax in 2005,” (Boortz… The FairTax Book, 40,43).

All of this time and money is wasted because of an outrageously complicated tax code that IRS employees frequently mess up. “Since 1954 the number of words in our tax code has increased by nearly 500%, the number of words in the IRS regulations has increased by 939%,” (47).

The FairTax bill that includes both the code and regulations is only 132 pages long, compared to the over 60,000-page income tax, and is significantly simpler (Linder, Rep….).

More jobs

American companies are not globally competitive, because of the suffocating tax code. “If we were to pass the FairTax… we would be the only nation in the world whose companies could sell into a global economy with no tax component in the price system,” (Boortz… The FairTax Book, 65).

This means two specific and wonderful things for our economy. Companies will come to America, reversing out-sourcing. They will bring jobs and contribute to our economic boom. America will regain our leading status in the world. With the millions of jobs, comes higher wages, more money to spend - and higher revenue for the U.S. government.

The Comptroller General, David M. Walker, testified before the Full Committee of the House Committee on Ways and Means that, “By the year 2040 the entire federal revenue stream will be insufficient to pay just the interest on the federal debt,” (Boortz…FairTax: The Truth, 34). The FairTax will grow the economy and widen the tax base, and therefore raise tax revenues, at least buying the U.S. government time to figure out how to raise the money to run the country. (even illegal aliens, drug dealers, international tourists, etc. will become part of the tax base)!!

So many problems are addressed by the FairTax, attention needs to be brought to its immense potential to save America’s economic future.

Repeated studies prove the benefits of the FairTax are widespread and numerous. Dr. Jorgenson’s research analyzed the benefits of the FairTax, and his findings are fully in support of the proposal. According to his published study, “the NRST (national retail sales tax)… would have an immediate and powerful impact on the level of economic activity… GDP would increase by almost 10.5% in the first year. This increase would gradually decline to a little under 5.4% over the next 25 years,” (Jorgenson).

This 10.5% GDP growth is absolutely huge. Those are the kind of numbers America needs to reestablish its dominant position in the world - and the FairTax will deliver.

FairTax supporters see the need for a tax code that does not penalize success, but rewards it.

Although every tax proposal is imperfect, the FairTax has a wide range of benefits that would stimulate both short-term and long-term economic growth.
America needs something to drastically change its grim future, we are losing ground as the dominant force in the world. The FairTax can reverse this, and will - if given the chance.

Sincerely,

Britta Schletter

NOTHING ????

Oh, YES.....There are a few things.

Like the "OBAMA DOCTRINE"

NY Post writer Ralph Peters, a former military intelligence officer, sums up the hate-America core tenets of the “Obama Doctrine” as follows:
(1) We’re to blame,
(2) Problems can be negotiated away,
(3) Problems that can’t be talked out can be bought off,
(4) Islamist terrorism doesn’t exist,
(5) It’s all our fault,
(6) Israel’s the obstacle to Middle East peace,
(7) Our nukes threaten world peace and we need to get rid of them,
(8) Our military is dangerous,
(9) Our intelligence services are even more dangerous than our military,
(10) It’s only torture if we do it, and
(11) Blame President George W. Bush.

And you wonder why his polls are going down finally ???
Maybe, just maybe.....people are starting to realize what his agenda really is!!!

Here's the way it ought to go!!!

BEND OVER...More "Stimulus" is Coming!!

July 7 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. should consider drafting a second stimulus package focusing on infrastructure projects because the $787 billion approved in February was “a bit too small,” said Laura Tyson, an outside adviser to President Barack Obama.

“The economy is worse than we forecast on which the stimulus program was based,” Tyson, who is a member of Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory board, told the Nomura Equity Forum. “We probably have already 2.5 million more job losses than anticipated.”

We rush to put some "crap" on the table, don't even read the bills before we pass them,... but...we make sure we get all kinds of "pork" in there that was sitting in the Pelosi-Reid (Democrats) "treasure chest", and then say that there are plenty of "shovel-ready" jobs that will be created!!

Perhaps we need more shovels??? Have you gotten yours yet??

Where are the jobs??? Unemployment, now at 9.6% (much higher than
expected)....
and then we say that we've only spent 10% of the stimulus?? and....
now it's "unclear" as to where this money is being spent???

Now really, folks....Who the H___ is driving this ship??

OK....Just print more money!!

The TRUTH on Minimum Wage !!! READ It NOW!

SEIU....ACORN.... Marion Barry.....Minimum wage !!!!

What do all these terms have in common ???

Answer: They are all corrupt and feed on ignorance and apathy!!!

Well, we know about SEIU and ACORN...and yet most people seem to still turn the other cheek while they continue to swindle the U.S. taxpayer under the protection of this administration (and Obama's old allegiance to these activist roots)

and, Marion Barry?.....
well, isn't it OK for politicians to smoke "crack", serve time in prison, as well as serve in office as Mayor?? Hmmm..... the smart, highly ethical voters in D.C. seem to think so!! But then now you see what I mean when I get upset about the ignorance of our "voting electorate"!

So WHAT ABOUT Minimum Wage!!
Are you kidding, you ask!?

As Neal Boortz so eloquently explains...... Raising minimum wage only forces some companies to pay some of their workers more than they are worth to that company!!

Think about that!!! The costs of raising a minimum wage is only passed on to YOU the consumer anyway!.

If a company wanted to "keep" a worker who was worth it, that worker should already be getting that wage or should be working at another job for a competitor. One has only to clear a very low hurdle to pull oneself past the minimum wage status in today's economy!! ONLY 1/3 of 1% of the workforce gets minimum wage today!!! YUP!! ONLY 0.33%

The big campaign slogan for liberal Democrats has always been "You can't raise a family in the U.S. today on a minimum wage!!
Well, guess what!?.....that's only 1/3 of 1%......and they then, very simply, "shouldn't raise a family if they can't afford the diapers"!!

Here's Your Freedom of the Press !!

I'm a firm believer that the only reason Obama's polls are not worse than they are getting ....is that he always talks about all the "good" things we are striving for, stimulus after stimulus.....new jobs, improved economy, clean energy, ....blah, blah, blah!! Then whenever he is questioned about "details" or costs of how this is supposed to get done, or why we're not seeing the result that we should; he evades the answers..... and he pre-screens his audience's questions as this video explains about his latest "open Town Hall meeting" where questions were pre-selected ahead of time!!!???

Talk about a "manipulator" !!! Watch Gibbs try to weasel around a surprise questioning about these tactics used:

When are we going to demand honesty and direct answers??
How long will the public put up with this deceit??

Ready or Not...Here it Comes !
