Now I'm Really Confused ???

Have you heard the news!!??

It's now OK for "the government" to "suggest" getting rid of Gen Motor's CEO who admittedly did a crappy job (even considering the poor economic conditions). But, its OK on the other hand, to keep the AIG "partyhogs" on board and allow them their hefty "Bonuses" to boot!! Irregardless of how you feel about the government "running" businesses...... there is no consistency to the policies being used here. Be tough on GM, but not on AIG ?? I'm confused??
I believe strongly in the independence of our capitalistic society and the rule of "survival of the fit"; and the law of "supply & demand".
But....
Just think, the government could soon suggest lots of good stuff like how to run a "Post Office"!

And then, of course, its still OK to keep our cheating beaurocratic "blunderheads" like Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Tim Geithner and the "Queen of Snobs", Nancy Pelosi around to keep "stimulating us".

Of course, those of you who know me....know that the above comments are my personal opinions only. However, when I pay my taxes on April 15, I'm seriously considering claiming the Tim Geithner "no penalty...late payment" option. Yup, in fact, let's make him Treasury Secy.....and while we're at it; let's make Sen. Dodd head of the Banking Committee.
Did someone say this is like letting a Vampire run the "Blood bank" or was it like letting an Arson keep all the "matches"??? Hmmmm..

Are You Addicted ??

As I continue my cautions on Social Networking, I must admit that there "CAN" be a value to them. It is always possible to gain some insight and valuable "insider" information about a potential job opportunity or career move from comments made; and even, perhaps, gain a valuable contact which will help you in the pursuit of promoting your product or service.....BUT, (the big "BUT"), you must realize the huge risk in "addiction" to the endless and, seemingly, pointless "chit-chat" that fills most of the airwaves of these networks. Yes, I'm talking about Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, LinkedIn, MySpace, Bebo and the list goes on.....most any name you can think of......or you can start your own network (as many do)!!

If you aren't already one of the casualties, you MUST, first, realize the potential danger in getting caught up in a very "time-consuming" effort in comparison to the gains received in return....as it is for most individuals.
You MUST stay focused and limit your involvement to a "reasonable" or "appropriate....or affordable" time period.

Like so many things in our pursuit of "Happiness", it is the ABUSES which do us in!!

The KEY to success: Do You Love Your Work ???

Well, you should ! If you get up in the morning on a regular basis and don't look forward to the day or have that "tinge of anxiety" to get going, then maybe you need to re-examine why.... and consider just what you are doing for a living.
Yup, sounds simple enough... and maybe idealistic to some. But honestly, when you think about it and consider all the time spent in your livelihood, wouldn't it make sense to "love your work"?
No, you can't just go and "do" what you like to all the time. You can't just go and quit your job, especially in hard economic times when you're glad to just "have" a job. But, you CAN develop a plan to pursue that "dream job". You CAN do many things to get you moving in the right direction. If you're not good at what you "want to do".... then GET GOOD! The rest will come along if you stick to it.
The worst mistake you can make is "NOT TRYING"!

OFF I GO...Into the Wild Blue Yonder !!

I started this blog talking mostly about my new passion with Affiliate Marketing.....and the programs I am involved with.
